Community While First Option is not an open “community” credit union, we see the First Option community as the Members we serve and the Host companies that employ them.
Our First Option community also extends to family Members of Host company employees and contractors working at our Host’s sites.

As an active part of our community, First Option is proud to sponsor a number of annual Host company events, including the TAB Cricket Competition, the Qenos Golf Challenge and the Gathering of TAB Retirees and Friends.

CUFA
From a wider perspective, First Option supports CUFA (Credit Union Foundation Australia) which focuses on both domestic and international credit union activities.
CUFA supports Australian credit unions to achieve and promote sustainable corporate, economic, social and environmental practices, and to promote financial and social well-being in communities.

TABlet
The TAB has a long and rich culture, where employees have formed lifelong friendships that have continued even after their employment at the TAB has ended.
To ensure that this history is not lost and is accessible to all, the First Option website hosts a site called TABlet. This site contains historical information, personal recollections, recent news and photos from the rich past of the TAB. There is even a section called "Where are they now?"
