An individual is eligible to be a First Option Credit Union Member under any one of the following categories:

• An employee, officer, or agent of:
  • A corporation or business in the gaming and leisure industry
  • A general industrial corporation or business
  • First Option Credit Union
  • A corporation or business approved by the board of directors

• Family: The spouse, de facto spouse, widow or widower, or, whether by blood or marriage; the daughter, son, mother, father, sister, brother, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew of a person who is admitted to membership under point 1.
• Family of Family: The wife or husband, or, whether by blood or marriage; the daughter, son, mother, father, sister, brother, grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, niece or nephew of a person who is admitted to membership under point 2 and who has been a Member for at least 12 months.
• Ex Member: A person who was but has ceased to be entitled to be admitted to membership under points 1, 2 or 3 above provided that he or she was a Member for a period of at least 12 months prior to having ceased to be a Member.
• Approved Persons: The person has an affinity with the Credit Union and is approved by the board of directors.
• Continuing Members: The person is a Member but has ceased to be eligible to be a Member in accordance with the above categories.
• Transferring Members: The person was a Member of another ADI that transferred its business and its Members to the Credit Union under the Financial Sector (Transfers of Business) Act 1999 (Cth).
